Q. What type of file should I use for my design?
A. We suggest using high-quality PNG files. ** Please note - EPS files are NOT accepted**
Q. How do I know what size file to use for my design?
A. The file size limit for the launcher is 50 MB. We recommend setting up your art file at 12.4”h x 16.5”h for standard print-on-demand items (3720w by 4950h pixels)
Q. How do I know what resolution to use for my design file?
A. The minimum DPI (dots per inch) the launcher will accept is 120, but we suggest creating designs with a minimum 300 DPI and when possible we recommend 150 DPI for larger files (especially on products like leggings and all-over print sweatshirts). For art and photographs, it’s best to upload high-resolution images that are close to these specifications.
B. If your image doesn’t meet the minimum quality requirement you can resize your image and/or go back to your original file, check the resolution (DPI), and upload a design with higher quality
Q. What color profile should I use when creating my design file?
A. We suggest saving your design file in the CMYK color profile in the design software you are using. We don’t recommend using overly bright colors like neon in your design.
Q. Design File Tips and Tricks
A. Your design should have a transparent background - the product color should be your background. Find free tutorials showing you how in GIMP, Photoshop, etc. online.
B. If you want a cleaner, crisper print around the edges of your design, export your design files with anti-aliasing turned off.
C. Front/back design placement: if you add a design on the front and back of apparel this will increase the item’s base cost—to minimize base cost and maximize profit you may want to keep your design on one side of the products only.
D. You can find design templates for specialty products here.
